Selling at Auction is a live, open market competition that helps objects achieve their true, fair market value. Typically, we sell on “consignment”- retaining a percentage of the selling price– but occasionally we buy outright. When items are consigned, you receive a copy of our consignment contract that lists your property and specifies the sales commission and auction date. All items are then expertly packed and transported. Within 14 days after the auction you will receive payment and an itemized list of your items sold. Research and Marketing are critical components of successful auction results. We rely on our many years of experience to identify and describe objects, but we love solving the occasional “mystery” with the help of our research library, a network of trusted experts, and subscriber sites on the internet. Over the years we have built a following of regular auction-goers and an extensive mail and e-mail list of specialty dealers and collectors. We advertise in regional papers, as well as the auction trade’s largest weekly and through our Web sites, to expose unique items to interested buyers across the country.
